ZenTrans User Guide

Everything you need to translate your documents while keeping the original layout intact.

1. Getting started

Create an account, claim your free trial credits, and find your way around the workspace.

Creating an account

Open ZenTrans and click "Sign in" in the top-right corner. You can sign in with your Google account in a single click — no password to remember and no separate sign-up form to fill in. Once signed in, you arrive at the workspace where you can start translating immediately.

Free trial credits

New accounts receive a small amount of free credits so you can try the service without paying first. One credit translates one page; multi-page documents consume one credit per page. Your current balance is always visible in the top bar of the workspace.

Workspace overview

The workspace has two main areas: • Left panel — the original document (PDF/image preview, page-by-page) • Right panel — the translated output, rendered as A4 pages Above the panels you'll find the language picker, translation button, model controls, and export options. Below the right panel sits the editor toolbar for fine-tuning the translation.

2. Translating a document

From upload to a finished translation in a few clicks. ZenTrans handles layout, tables, logos, and seals automatically.

Uploading a file

Drag and drop a file onto the upload area, or click it to open a file picker. Supported formats: • PDF (single- or multi-page) • JPG / PNG / WebP images Pages start loading progressively — you'll see the first page within about a second, and the rest appear as they finish processing.

Source language: auto-detect

ZenTrans automatically detects the source language of your document, so you don't have to pick it manually. Korean, Vietnamese, English, Japanese, Chinese, and many others are recognized out of the box. If your document is bilingual (e.g. Korean + English), the system still works — only the target-language translation is produced for the output.

Choosing the target language

Pick the language you want to translate INTO from the target-language dropdown above the right panel. Available targets include English, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Portuguese, and more. You can change the target language any time before clicking Translate.

Running the translation

Click the "Translate" button. The translation runs in batches — for long documents, the first few pages appear in your output panel while the later pages are still being translated. You can start reading and reviewing early pages right away. If anything goes wrong on a batch, ZenTrans automatically retries up to 5 times before stopping. Already-completed pages are preserved.

Re-translating a single page

Not happy with how a specific page turned out? You can re-translate just that page without redoing the whole document. Open the page menu (or right-click the page) and choose "Re-translate this page". This is the fastest way to refresh a problematic page without spending credits on the entire document again.

3. Editing and formatting

Polish the translation directly in the workspace — no need to export and re-edit elsewhere.

Inline text editing

Click any paragraph, heading, or table cell in the right panel and start typing. Your edits are saved as you go. Use the formatting toolbar at the bottom for bold, italic, underline, alignment, font size, and more — just like a normal word processor.

Working with tables

Tables are rendered with the same structure as the original. You can: • Click a cell to edit its text • Drag column borders to resize columns • Adjust row height by dragging the bottom edge If the AI merged cells incorrectly, you can also retranslate that page to get a different layout attempt.

Common assets (logos, seals, signatures)

If you frequently translate documents from the same organization (e.g. a court, a hospital, a notary office), you can upload the official logo or emblem once and ZenTrans will reuse it across future documents. Open the Common Assets dialog from the workspace, upload an image, and give it a name. The next time the same logo appears in a document, the system uses your high-quality version instead of cropping it from the source PDF. Signatures and seals are now translated as italic placeholder text — for example *(Official Seal Affixed)* — rather than cropped images, so they look clean and consistent.

Custom translation rules

You can teach ZenTrans how to translate specific terms. Open the Translation Rules dialog and add your own glossary entries — for example: always translate "신고인" as "Reporter" in English, or always write the company name in a specific way. These rules are applied automatically the next time you translate a document. Use them to keep terminology consistent across all your translations.

4. Exporting your translation

When the translation looks right, export it as PDF, DOCX, or save the whole project for later.

PDF export

Click "Export" → "PDF". The output is a clean A4 PDF with the same layout you see in the workspace, ready to print or email. This is the recommended format for final delivery — fonts and layout are guaranteed to look identical on every device.

DOCX export

Click "Export" → "DOCX" to download an editable Microsoft Word document. Choose DOCX when you need to make further edits in Word or share with someone who wants to modify the text. Tables, headings, bold/italic formatting, and most layout details are preserved.

Saving a project (.zen file)

If you want to come back to a translation later — to edit it, re-export it, or continue working — save the project as a .zen file from the menu. A .zen file contains the original document, the translation, all your edits, and your settings. To resume, drag the .zen file back into the workspace and pick up exactly where you left off. No credits are spent when reloading.

5. Credits and billing

ZenTrans charges by the page, not by subscription. Buy what you need, when you need it.

How credits work

One credit = one translated page. A 10-page document consumes 10 credits when translated; re-translating a single page consumes 1 additional credit. Your balance is shown in the top bar of the workspace. Credits never expire.

Buying credits

Open "My Page" → "Purchase" and choose a credit pack. Payment is processed by PayPal — credit cards, PayPal balance, and most local payment methods are accepted. Credits are added to your account immediately after payment is confirmed.

Gift codes

If you received a gift code (from a promotion, a refund, or an event), go to "My Page" → "Purchase" and enter the code in the gift-code field. The credits are added to your balance instantly.

Translation history

Every translation you complete is listed under "My Page" → "History". You can see the date, the document name, the number of pages, and the credits used. Note: history is a usage log, not a backup — to keep the actual translated file, export it as PDF/DOCX or save it as a .zen project.

6. Quality and support

We stand behind our translations. If something is wrong, we make it right.

Reporting a translation problem

Found a serious error in a translation? Open the Bug Report dialog from the workspace and describe what went wrong. Attach a screenshot if it helps. If our team confirms the issue, you receive 2× the credits you spent on that translation back to your account — our quality guarantee.

Contacting support

For anything that isn't a translation error — billing questions, account issues, feature requests — use the "Contact" link in the footer of the landing page. We typically reply within one business day.

Translation accuracy notes

ZenTrans translations are produced entirely by AI. For most documents — certificates, contracts, official forms — the result is ready to use directly. For critical legal, medical, or financial documents, we recommend reviewing the translation before submission. ZenTrans is designed to give you a strong first draft that takes minutes to verify instead of hours to translate.

7. Tips and best practices

Small things that make a big difference to your translation quality.

Bilingual source documents

If your source document is already bilingual (e.g. a Korean + English certificate), ZenTrans outputs only the target language — you won't see duplicate columns or stacked translations.

Long documents

Documents with many pages are translated in batches. You can start reviewing the first pages while later pages are still being processed. There's no upper limit on page count — credits are the only constraint.

Changing the interface language

The ZenTrans interface itself is available in 10+ languages. Use the flag/language switcher in the top-right of the landing page or workspace to switch — your preference is remembered for next time. The interface language is independent of the translation target — you can use a Vietnamese UI to translate documents into English, for example.
